For ages 5-and up, this DVD is the perfect compliment for any kids involved in Judo, or thinking of starting Judo. We use non intimidating animated 3D characters and also live video clips which makes the DVD fun and educational.
The United States Judo Association (USJA) endorses and recommends the use of the Interactive Sport Judo DVD series when it is used under the guidance of a qualified Judo instructor and as part of an overall lesson plan.

These DVDs are specifically targeted towards young children learning Judo. Unfortunately, the dropout rates for kids is statistically very very high, which can be for a number of reasons but the low [weekly] frequency of the [short] lessons does not help, (resulting in loss of interest) and the “group” teaching environment means some kids will advance more quickly than others which de-motivates and intimidates other students with less ability.

Our DVDs are provided as a supplement to your child’s regular Judo lessons to help teach Judo, they are not designed to replace “one on one” hands on coaching and practice received in a teaching environment. They are for entertainment purposes only. These are designed to be used by kids in-between regular Judo lessons hopefully increasing motivation resulting in a more eager continued participation in the sport. The DVD set is broken into sections, where each DVD is specifically tailored towards gaining the knowledge required to advance a level. This maintains better focus and helps them advance quickly, which in itself motivates.
